I'm a journalist based in New York City reporting on immigration, race and inequity. I have experience in fact-checking, data journalism, audio stories, audience engagement and news curation.
I was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and studied political science with a focus in human rights at Scripps College in Claremont, California. My love of storytelling led me to graduate from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism with a Masters of Science. I'm currently back at Columbia attending the Lede Program, where I'm learning how to incorporate data analysis and visualization in my journalism.
